Welcome to Beginning General Art!

Art is a venue for expression, an extension of yourself! Here in Art class, you will discover the elements used in art to do just that-- discover another venue to express yourself as an individual. Get ready to show the world your artistic self!

Course Outline:

Students will be doing a variety of activities to meet the Hawaii Content and Performance Standard for the Visual Art. Students will utilize the elements and principles of art and design and be exposed to varied topics and medias of expression as well as art history, and aesthetics. Art projects may be linked to students' everyday lives, heritage, career educatin, cultures and other disciplines.

Standard 1: Visual Arts:

Understand and apply art materials, techniques, and processes in the creation of works of art and understand how the visual arts communicate a variety of ideas, feelings, and experiences.
